Vientiane is the capital of the Republic of Laos. The town is small, but in contrast, is filled with many beautiful buildings of mixed architecture, monuments and temples that reflect the colorful history of the country. This major city of Laos is located on the northeastern shore of the broad Mekong River. What distinguishes it from other Asian megacities is that peace and incredible charm of Vientiane can not find anywhere else.
