The city of Pingyao is an ancient city with very nice architecture and saved through the years models of castles and walls. Definitely the city is quite small, so you can walk through it for 1 or 2 days, but if you want to visit all the sightseeings and the monuments you will need of more than a week. The spirit of the city will turn you in the old centuries of the powerful Chinese Empire and will reveal in front of you the beauty, which you never saw before. The main attraction is the Ancient town, which has temples, walls and statues of the Ming dynasty. The Ancient town is surrounded by high walls, which has width of 8-12 meters and height of more than 12 meters. On the walls there are four big watchtowers and also small ones. Definitely the city will meet you with more than 4000 ancient building and historical artifacts, which are saved in the Ancient town and the vicinity.
Pingyao is located on the eastern shores of the river Fanha. During the tourist season, the visitors reach 3 times more than a number than the city can hold. Pingyao is famous for its beef, cereals, cotton and special varnish. And definitely the ancient history is the main reason for the tourists to visit the city and to be amazed by the beauty of China. The city do not have any airport and the closest one is in Taiyuan. To the city there are several trains, buses and high-speed train. Definitely the Asian destinations usually impress with the architecture and history. Pingyao is one of the best saved ancient cities in whole Asia and the tourists like to visit it and touch the forgotten Asian spirit and atmosphere.

AyutthayaAyutthaya is the best known as the old capital of Thailand.
