Guangzhou is one of the pillars of China’s economic progress. Also known by its British name of Canton, Guangzhou is a modern metropolis in South China, the capital and largest city of Guangdong Province. Guangzhou is located about 120 km northwest of Hong Kong, left the northern coast in the Pearl River Delta . As a large industrial and commercial center of Guangzhou grow at rates higher than those of the Chinese economy since the 80s of last century. Guangzhou is one of the largest river and sea ports in China with international significance. Located on the southern coast Guangzhou is an important commercial, economic, financial, political and cultural center of the country. The population is about 6,560,500, a metropolitan area of about 12.6 million, making Guangzhou the third most populous in China. It has the status of the alpha world city, because of its enormous economic importance. Every year in spring and autumn in the city held the largest Chinese commercial and industrial Fair – Fair Cantonese. The population is about 6,560,500. Guangzhou has a rich history that is left behind and interesting cultural and historical monuments, along with its proximity Honkonk, Macau, Beijing and Shanghai, the city and become an excellent tourist destination.
